Welcome to Kim’s Groom Room. By booking a grooming appointment with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. Booking & Deposits
A £20 non-refundable deposit is required to secure all appointments.
Deposits will be deducted from the final grooming cost or can be rolled over to a future appointment if rescheduled with at least 48 hours’ notice.
If less than 48 hours’ notice is given, deposits will be forfeited.
2. Cancellations & No-Shows
Appointments cancelled with at least 48 hours’ notice will not incur a cancellation charge.
If less than 48 hours’ notice is given, the deposit will be lost.
If a client fails to attend an appointment without paying a deposit, a 50% cancellation fee of the total groom cost will be required before rebooking.
3. Appointment Changes
Appointments can be rescheduled to a different date if 48 hours’ notice is given.
Rescheduled appointments may use the original deposit as credit.
4. Grooming Safety & Welfare
The welfare of your dog is our priority. If at any point we believe continuing the groom may cause distress, pain, or injury, we may stop the session. The full or partial grooming fee may still apply.
Dogs must be up to date with vaccinations and flea/tick treatments. Dogs found with fleas will incur a £12 cleaning fee to cover salon disinfection.
Aggressive or difficult dogs may require additional handling charges, and we reserve the right to refuse service.
5. Health & Medical Disclosure
Owners must inform us of any pre-existing health conditions, allergies, injuries, or behavioural issues.
We are not liable for any pre-existing conditions that may be aggravated by grooming.
In the unlikely event of an emergency, we may seek veterinary care for your pet at your expense.
6. Pricing Policy
Our grooming prices are tailored to each dog and may vary depending on their breed, size, coat type, and coat condition. Prices are based on dogs attending their regular, recommended grooming appointments, as this helps us keep their coat in the best possible condition. If appointments are left longer than advised and the coat requires extra time, care or de-matting, and additional charge may be applied.
7. Coat Condition & Extra Charges
Severely matted coats will be clipped short for the welfare of the dog. De matting fees may apply. Please also note, after a dog has been clipped short due to matting. They can sometimes lick the area as it may feel sensitive for them. We recommend applying a gel such as aloe vera to soothe the area. Ensure to keep an eye on your dog and check they are not over licking the area, especially sanitary areas.
Extra charges may apply for: excessive matting, fleas, difficult behaviour, or extra grooming time.
8. Payments
Full payment is required on collection of your pet.
We accept, Bank Transfers, Cash and Card Payments (Please note, card payments have an additional £1 processing fee.
Deposits are deducted from the final cost or can be rolled over.
